Thamarasseri Daera Secures Mahrajan Champion Trophy

Kolathur: The two-day Jamia Al-Hind National Academic Fest, “Mahrajan 25,” held at the Kolathur Irshadiya campus, concluded with a grand closing ceremony. Thamarassery Da'ira emerged as the overall champions, scoring 248 points. Edavannappara Da'ira secured second place with 164 points, while Karnataka Da'ira narrowly claimed third place with 163 points, trailing by just one point. Kuttiadi Da'ira and Manjeri Da'ira followed, securing fourth and fifth places with 143 and 130 points, respectively.

Among institutions, Jamia Madinathunnoor Poonoor claimed the top spot in the Alia category with 112 points, while Sirajul Huda Kuttiadi led in the Muthavassith category with 45 points. In the Ibthidaiyya category, Dalailul Khairat Kakkidippuram secured first place with 38 points.

The Jamia-level competition, following the college and regional phases, witnessed participation from over 1,000 students representing more than 200 campuses. Students from Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman Islands competed in the fest. Thousands of attendees enjoyed the excellent competitions, explored the Ideal Expo showcasing historic struggles, and savored the diverse delicacies prepared at the Halawa Center during the two-day event.

Jamia Pro-Chancellor Vandoor Abdurahman Faizi inaugurated the closing ceremony and presented the trophy to the champions. Kolathur Irshadiya General Secretary Alavi Saqafi Kolathur presided over the function. Notable speakers included A.C. Ibrahim Musliyar, P.S.K. Dharimi Edayur, Sayyid Murthala Shihab Saqafi, Sayyid Anwar Sadath Saadi, Saithalavi Nisami Alur, K.T.A. Ghafoor, and Abduhaji Puthanangadi. Dr. Umarul Farooq Saqafi, Jamia Rector, delivered the welcome address, while Yusuf Misbahi gave the vote of thanks.
